NEW PLAYERS WELCOME

Methlick Cricket Club is always on the lookout for new players and members. Whether you have played before or not we are looking for anyone who is keen on cricket and wishes to join a friendly and progressive club that is situated in a picturesque setting with excellent facilities, this has to be the club for you.
Our club plays a good standard in the North East Scotland Cricket Aberdeenshire Grades, the 1st XI play in Grade 3, and our 2nd XI play in Grade 3. Friendlies are also arranged throughout the season.

We currently have a youth section with a mixture of boys and girls of all ages, these consist of two teams U9 and U13, we try to be flexible with age and ability when choosing the players for the teams. Various local clubs are planning matches this year, so the more players the merrier, parents are also encouraged to come along to support, and perhaps help out. Please contact Adam Veersema for further details and queries about youth membership.

Our facilities consist of Two practice nets, these usually are erected in March and then taken down once the season has finished, there are changing facilities at our local village hall, and where tea and sandwiches are served between the innings, the clubhouse is at our local hostelry the Ythanview Hotel.

To join contact either Mark Woodhouse on 07702 830464 or email markwoodhouse@This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., or Jay Allan on 01651 806235 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for further details. Or simply turn up at our ground, Lairds, on Saturdays, where you will be met and greeted by members for a friendly chat with players and possibly watch a game in progress. Summer outdoor nets are run on Wednesday evenings for adult members and Sunday mornings for junior members. Our season starts towards the end of March and finishes in early September.

For junior members, we do encourage parents to come along to support, nothing like watching their children enjoying outdoor pursuits.

Club membership for the season is very reasonable for all members,

Adult Players - £50 + £5 match fees,

or £100 - Adult players all games

Junior Player - £1 per season, no match fees

Adult non-player members £10.
