Welcome to Methlick Cricket Club and the 2011 season.

'During the course of 2010 we consolidated our positions in Grades 2 and 3. We welcomed new members to the club and our junior coaching moved to new levels with coaching being done in local shools for the first time. We are set to repeat the coaching this year as well run the schools competition for the second year. Thanks to the committee from last year and all their hard work that keeps the club going and able to invest in it's future.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors and the wider support of people in the community and club who  are not on the committee.
This is a cricket club that welcomes all from experienced cricketers to first timers and anyone in between from both genders. We have an active youth policy and many youngsters now play in the senior teams. The club is led by its members and a management committee who work very hard for the development and future of the club.
2011 is an exciting year for us, as we strive once again to be promoted to Grade 1 for the first time. We have worked hard over the winter to improve the wicket again and it looks and feels fantastic for the start of the 2011 season on 30th April 2011. look forward to playing and meeting all of you through the course of the year.’

The annual dinner went off without a hitch and as in previous years, much effort in organising, arrangiing and the whole physical plan for the night was only to clear to see. Methlick 2XI Team - WINNERS's

Reid Cup
A fantastic win by the 2nd team at Inverurie against league leaders Knightriders in the Reid cup final. Knightriders batted first and posted 53 all out after a spell from Tim Duffy and Stuart Kennedy saw 6 wickets fall for just 1 run. Methlick batted and took just 16 overs to get the runs required. An easy choice for man of the match as Tim Duffy ended up with 8 for 12. A fantastic achievement by all connected to the club to win the Reid Cup for the first time.
A big thank you to all - Mark Colley-Davies (Chairman)

Methlick Gala Day
Saturday 3rd of September 2011

The Galaday went off without a hitch, although on Friday preperation with collecting all the gear and tents for site plan and erecting, a large garage door was damage whilst towing a trailer with a large marquee.
The cricket ground Lairds was soddened in places and the wicket not much better and so the artificial wicket was used, fortunately spike's are accepted on the artificial wicket, Read More:

Saturday 14th of May

1st XI Methlick vs St. Ronald - Lairds

Last season had Methlick up against St. Ronald 1st team in some high scoring and hugely entertaining fixtures. The second team, newly promoted from Grade 3, was an unknown prospect and the visit to Lairds coincided with a strengthened batting and bowling line up with the return of Aussie, Adrian Saward. Conditions were blustery, overcast and threatened rain and were ideal for putting the opposition in, getting them out and heading to the Ythan View. Conti

2nd XI Methlick vs 2nd Stonehaven - Mineralwell Park

The second match of the season played saw our seconds being soundly beaten by a much stronger team, with extremely good bowling from Stonehavens 2nds, N. King gaining 9 wickets for 8 runs, and Methlick 2nds all out for 31 runs.

Saturday 7th of May
1st XI Methlick vs Academy - Lairds

2nd XI Methlick vs Queens Cross/Stoneywood Dyce - Lairds

Not the best start to the season, being seen off comfortably by a much stronger opposition loosing by Six wickets, Tim Duffy the highest scoring batsman in the team and in the fielding Sam French relative new to the sport gained a wicket for 18 runs, looking for a marked improvement in the coming weeks.
